Ursula Merten, loving and proud mother of a young Academy dancer, was a musician and supporter of the performing arts.  In the wake of her recent passing, her family would like to honor this love by requesting donations in lieu of flowers.  The Academy offers financial aid to several children each year, so that they can study dance or music with us, or attend our arts-based preschool program.  Donations to the Ursula Merten Memorial Scholarship Fund will be used by the Academy of Movement and Music to provide assistance with tuition and the purchase of pointe shoes or uniforms to students with financial need.*
