MUSIC TUITION POLICIES

Music tuition is charged in six 6-week billing cycles from late August through April.  In May, summer tuition is charged and can vary in the number of weeks it covers (typically 8-10 weeks). Tuition must be paid at the beginning of each session.

FEES - At registration, Music students must pay the Academy annual registration fee.  There are several recitals held during the year and all participating students will be charged a per-recital fee.

PAYMENTS - All payments are handled through the Academy office, not directly through instructors.  A 5% late fee may be assessed on unpaid tuition 7 days after the due date.  To avoid late fees, Music students may arrange for automatic tuition payment on a credit card. Credits granted by instructors are deducted from tuition due each session before automatic payments are charged.

ABSENCES – At the discretion of the instructor, music students can schedule make-up lessons or receive credits for excused absences.  These are arranged between the student/parent and the instructor.  Generally, an excused absence requires a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.  Unless due to an emergency, no-shows are an unexcused absence and cannot be made up or credited.  At the end of each 6-week billing period, credits granted to a student will be applied to the next 6-week invoice.

MUSIC REFUND POLICY - We do not refund private music tuition under any circumstances – no exceptions.  If a student wishes to discontinue lessons and has unused paid tuition or unused credits, we recommend the student continue their lessons until all tuition and credits are used.
