ACADEMY JUNE RECITAL PERFORMANCE POLICIES

 

Keep in mind attendance at rehearsals is important, with particular emphasis on Dress Rehearsal. Please keep non-emergency absences to a minimum and inform the office if your dancer will miss a rehearsal.

 

Parent volunteering:

We rely on the help of parent volunteers to keep our recitals running smoothly. A signup will go out which describes the different types of assistance needed.  Some of these include assistance during rehearsals, in the dressing room, concession table, Usher, and costume assistance.



Tickets:

All attendees will need to purchase a ticket.

 

Photos:

Parents will have the option to purchase a photo shoot for their dancer with a professional photographer hired by the Academy. We will also provide a photo op area near the dressing room with a backdrop and props, so that parents can take their own photos if desired. If candid photos are taken during rehearsals or backstage, these will be made available to parents as well.

Video:

The performance will be video recorded and made available to all participants’ families.                * Please note ~ there is no feasible way to exclude, crop-out, or blur individual students from the performance video.  If you are uncomfortable with your child’s image being included in the video, please consider this fact in your decision to enroll your child in this performance opportunity.  The Academy will not post or publicly distribute recital videos, but inclusion of your child’s image in this instance supersedes the Academy’s policy of excluding student images upon request.
